City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams earlier this week vowed to approve a new housing project in the Bronx, and local lawmakers delivered.
“This council has approved 93% of housing-related, land-use applications that have come to us, and we will approve even more today," she said.
Known as the “Just Home” housing project, it passed Thursday in a vote of 36-9.
The project aims to bring 83 new units of supportive housing to the campus of Jacobi Hospital in the Morris Park section of the Bronx for formerly incarcerated individuals.
The mayor was initially in favor of the project but pulled his support last week.
