YOUNGSTOWN The State of Ohio has received more than $2 million to support projects to help people in recovery find new careers.

The money is awarded through the Applachian Regional Commission's Investement's Supporting Partnerships in Recovery Ecosystems (INSPIRE) initiative which aims to provide opportunities and support to people in recovery as they orogress toward rejoining the workforce.

One of the projects is helping people in the Mahoning Valley.

A $500,000 grant is being awarded to Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Inc., to support its "A Good Start: Recovery to Work Job Readiness Program."
