ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police said a former LaGrange church elder is wanted for allegedly embezzling more than $200,000 from the church.

LaGrange police said Howard Lester, a former elder of Broad Street Church of Christ, is accused of taking the money from the church’s business account.

He‘s also accused of “depriving a customer of over $6,000″ while he was employed at the Floors on Commerce store in LaGrange.

Police said Lester is facing felony theft charges for the incidents.
