MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) - A Muscatine woman was sentenced to jail in two separate animal-neglect cases.

Kelly Adams, 45, was charged with 67 counts of animal neglect, including six deaths, in July 2024. She was charged again in January after violating her pretrial release conditions.

Court records show Adams pleaded guilty Sept. 2 to the following:

Case 1: Six counts of animal neglect with serious injury or death, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Case 2: One count of interference with official acts, aggravated misdemeanor, and three counts of animal neglect with injury, a serious misdemeanor.

On Sept. 9, she was sentenced to:

Case 1: 360 days in jail with 300 days suspended and credit for any time previously served. She was ordered to report to the Muscatine County Jail for 40 days star
