CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Drivers in Cross Lanes are growing more frustrated with traffic as crews get back to work on the widening project.
Del. Andy Shamblin, R- Kanawha, said, “Traffic now is probably at one of its worst levels.”
Cindy Stagg, who works during the middle of the construction, said it has been an inconvenience.
“I come in a little bit later and work a little bit later, just so I avoid the traffic messes in the morning and evening,” Stagg said.
To clear up any confusion, Shamblin shared new maps showing what the road will look like. He said the finished design gives drivers four lanes from the interstate to Kroger with a turn lane in the middle.
