COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The over century long tradition continues as two teams battle to make the bell wildcat blue or bulldog red.
“It’s exciting. A lot of tradition. Its been painted multiple times- its been blue for awhile now. But it’s exciting and a lot of tradition on both sides,” said Central wide receiver Preston Madrio.
“It means everything, I mean, it’s very important, everything going into it, like the hype, everything, it just means a lot to everyone,” Centennial QB Andre Martinez said.
The battle for the bell has gone in favor of Pueblo Central the past six years with Centennial not being able to score in the rivalry since 2020.
