Barcelona forward Marcus Rashford enjoyed a brief but heartfelt reunion with his former Manchester United teammate Eric Bailly on Thursday night as he continued his promising form for the Catalan club.

The winger registered his third assist in as many La Liga matches as Barca triumphed 3-1 against Real Oviedo to continue their unbeaten start to the season. For Rashford, the victory not only marked another promising performance but also a chance to catch up with an old friend.

Since the summer, Bailly has been playing for Real Oviedo after a tumultuous period following his United exit in 2023. The Ivorian's contract at his next permanent club Besiktas was terminated after what they deemed to be 'poor performances and incompatibility with the team.'
