SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman has been convicted in Sumner County Criminal Court for attacking a guest at a Gallatin wedding in 2023.
According to Sumner County District Attorney General Thomas Dean, 40-year-old Lindsey Danyelle Covington was convicted of aggravated assault, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Dean said that over the course of the two-day trial, Assistant District Attorneys Tara Wyllie and Nathan Nichols presented evidence that Covington attended a wedding in Gallatin on Nov. 18, 2023, "became extremely intoxicated and began to harass and threaten another guest."
Covington later threw alcohol at the guest's eyes while he was cleaning the wedding venue and then smashed a large beer glass against his face, according to Dean.
