The population of Whiteford Township is just under 5,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau .

But, that number at least doubles one time a year, for the annual Whiteford Fall Festival .

“This event will attract about 10,000 people,” said Jeff Thomas, Whiteford Township supervisor.

The fifth annual Whiteford Fall Festival is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 4 at Whiteford Stoneco Park , 7100 Whiteford Road. Admission is free.

"The first festival, which was held five years ago, attracted between 5,000 to 7,000 attendees," Thomas said. "People come from the surrounding communities: Bedford, Erie, Summerfield, Riga, Adrian, Toledo and Sylvania, Ohio.
