Discoverland Ranch in Sand Springs has two upcoming events focused on bringing the "Oklahoma!" musical back to life and reimagining the beloved space.

For 36 years, a parcel of land west of Tulsa was known as “The National Home of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s ‘Oklahoma!’” Each summer, as many as 50,000 people — locals in addition to visitors from the rest of the country and around the world — would travel out to Discoveryland to watch “Oklahoma!” performed by a cast made up of local, regional and national actors, as well as a few horses and other farm animals, in an outdoor amphitheater.

The final season of the musical was performed in 2011.
