CLEVELAND, Ohio — High school football fans across Northeast Ohio can leave the umbrellas at home for Friday’s games.

Conditions will be pleasant under the lights as the region dries out from a stretch of damp, unsettled weather. Any lingering lake-effect showers from the morning will be long gone by kickoff, with high pressure building in to deliver drier air and mostly clear skies, making it comfortable for players and fans alike.

Temperatures will be mild, hovering in the mid to upper 60s around kickoff time. Readings will dip into the low 60s by the second half, with just a light breeze coming from the northwest. Patchy fog is possible late Friday night into early Saturday, but it’s unlikely to interfere with games.
