KALAMAZOO, MI — Heading into the weekend, Kalamazoo police have announced efforts to increase safety in and around a restaurant where there was a shooting last weekend.

Four people were shot and another was injured by debris inside Two Fellas Grill, 2730 W. Michigan Ave., at 3:16 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, police said previously.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is working with the business owner to better meet their safety needs, the department said.

Two Fellas agreed to allow a surveillance camera cart to be placed on the property to assist KDPS in monitoring the area.

The carts are placed in areas where KDPS wants to monitor or deter crime. The department typically places them on city-owned property,
