It’s on to the next challenge for the Windsor Spitfires.

Windsor is off to its best start since 2019 after Thursday’s 4-0 win over the Sudbury Wolves that pushed the No. 2-ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League’s record to 3-0 on the season.

After back-to-back wins at home, the Spitfires now hit the road for back-to-back games with a Saturday match in Barrie against the Colts and a Sunday meeting in Oshawa against the Generals.

“There’s so much energy in the room, especially with a bunch of young guys,” said Spitfires’ overage goalie Joey Costanzo, who made 17 saves to record the shutout against Sudbury. “It’s fun to come to the rink every day and we’re just really excited for this road trip and beyond.
