A Jasper County judge dismissed a lawsuit against the city of Joplin and Prospect Village over an assessment of an additional 1-cent sales tax on marijuana sales.
The company that operates Missouri Made Marijuana in Joplin filed the lawsuit against the city and others in July for assessing special taxes on its business to help fund construction of the Prospect Village sports complex district. The tax applies to 45 businesses within the taxing district established by Prospect Village developer Woodsonia and the city of Joplin. ×
