Costs for the city of Joplin to contract with the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce for economic development services were approved by the City Council during a budget meeting this week.
The council approved payments of $247,000 to the chamber and $65,000 to the MOKAN Partnership Tuesday night. That is a $25,000 increase from last year, when city officials agreed to pay $222,000 to the chamber and $65,000 for MoKan. ×
