ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller and Las Cruces Mayor Eric Enriquez made a friendly wager ahead of Saturday's Rio Grande Rivalry game between the UNM and NMSU football teams.

As part of this year's wager, whichever team loses must fly the other team’s flag at City Hall.

“This rivalry is about more than football—it’s about pride, tradition, and community,” said Keller in a news release. “We’re ready to prove once again that Lobo pride runs strong in Albuquerque. And if, by chance, the Aggies pull off an upset, well… City Hall may be a little more crimson than usual.”

The 115th playing of the Rio Grande Rivalry, also known as the Battle of I-25, will start at 2 p.m. on Saturday at University Stadium in Albuquerque. Both programs will go into the match-up holding 2-1
