CLEVELAND, Ohio — After a damp stretch earlier this week, Northeast Ohio is heading into a run of dry, comfortable weather that will last through the weekend and into early next week.
High pressure building over the Ohio Valley is expected to deliver plenty of sunshine, mild nights and above-normal temperatures across the region.
Friday afternoon will feature mostly sunny skies with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s — a few degrees above the late-September average in Cleveland of 72 degrees. A light northwest breeze will keep conditions comfortable.
By evening, temperatures will slip into the low and mid 60s, setting up perfect weather for high school football and other outdoor plans. Patchy fog will be possible later into the night.
Warm for the weekend
