A much-loved homegrown Italian chain is making moves in San Antonio’s Southtown. After months of anticipation, Julian’s Pizza & More , a new concept from the family behind Julian’s Italian Pizzeria & Kitchen , will open at 620 S Presa St in October.
A rep from the restaurant says the opening date is not set in stone, but the team is hoping to open by the second week of October. The new spot replaces California hot dog joint Barrio Dogg, which shuttered in February after a brief run.
The rep says the new spot won’t be a carbon copy of its three sibling restaurants in Embassy Oaks, Bulverde, and Alamo Heights. For one, Julian’s Pizza & More will feature a small market where customers can load up on pasta, wine, beer, and other Italian imports.
“The menu is going to be new,” explains
