LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - A man allegedly threatened to bomb Lawrence City Hall after investigators refused to call for military aid the day before.
The Lawrence, Kansas, Police Department says that just after 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, emergency crews were called to City Hall, at 6th and Massachusetts, with reports of concerning threats.
When first responders arrived, they learned a man had been threatening employees. He claimed that if he were a foreign national and had a bomb, he would blow the building up.
While he had already left by the time police arrived, officers said the suspect was found nearby at 7th and Massachusetts St.
Law enforcement officials indicated he had been upset about an interaction with police the day before. He allegedly asked officers to call in the military
