KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A business in the Northeast Industrial District says that over the past few months, they’ve spent far too much money recovering from thefts, which won’t stop.
Douglass Hallmon, the service manager at Jim Hawk Truck Trailers , says thieves broke into the business just before 6:00 Thursday night, and can be seen via camera on the property stealing copper wiring until about 2:00 the next morning.
“They’re basically just cutting apart what they can take as much as they can and they’re taking it to recycling places so that they can turn it into quick cash,” Hallmon said. “We face the burden of having to repair these pieces of equipment and they’re thousands and thousands of dollars worth of damage. They’re not getting that for the product that they’re stealing.”
