SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) -- Former Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright has agreed to plead guilty to three federal charges as of Wednesday, September 25, 2025.
The charges are listed as: • Count 1: Conspiracy to commit theft concerning programs receiving federal funds • Count 2: Wire fraud conspiracy • Count 3: Obtaining controlled substances by misrepresentation
Despite Wright agreeing to plead guilty, it could be months before a judge decides his sentencing.
