SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - The weather in KELOLAND is about as quiet as it gets right now. But the length of our extended summer weather is actually linked to the biggest storms in the Atlantic Ocean.

If you are looking for cooler fall weather, don't expect much of that in the 7 day forecast. As the warm and almost hot weather settles in the plains, stormy weather downstream will get our attention the next few days.

Not one, but two tropical systems are marching closer to the United states. Hurricane Humberto is expected to stay out to sea, but the second storm is more concerning. A direct hit in the Carolinas is possible next week.
