SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Local users of the popular app, TikTok are expressing both excitement and some apprehension over the likelihood that the platform can keep operating in the United States.
On Thursday, President Trump signed an executive order that opens the door for U.S. investors to purchase most of TikTok's assets from the Chinese company ByteDance.
The long-simmering controversy over national security and privacy issues involving TikTok hasn't discouraged people in Sioux Falls from still using the app.
"I think the whole U.S. went under an uproar when they thought they were going to take it down," Sabrina Bloom of Sioux Falls said.
