Peppa's was one of the thousands of lives affected by the devastating Eaton fire in January. She was lucky and escaped with her life, but she had nowhere to go, nowhere to live. Her home was damaged, alongside 9,000 other buildings.
Thankfully, the Pasadena Humane Society found Peppa the pig a place to stay until it was time to come home. That time was Friday.
For the past eight months, the 200-pound potbelly pig has lived at the Little Bitty Animal Sanctuary in Ranchita, a rural community in northeastern San Diego County.
“Whatever we can do to make these folks lives easier,” said Ryan Valverde, along with his wife, operates the animal shelter.
