A former priest was arrested in Indiana by U.S. Marshals for the rape and kidnapping of a New Orleans minor.

According to the U.S. Marshals, Mark Ford, 64, was arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, two counts of sexual battery, and two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles. Advertisement

Ford was arrested in Indiana on Thursday afternoon by the USMS Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.

He was booked into the Porter County Jail to await extradition back to New Orleans.

WDSU reached out to the Archdiocese of New Orleans for confirmation of any churches Ford worked at in the New Orleans area.

The archdiocese could not provide or confirm any information regarding Ford or the investigation.
