Fed up with years of garbage being dumped carelessly near his home, 63-year-old businessman KG Prasad decided he could no longer wait for officials or neighbours to act.
Repeated appeals to residents and pourakarmikas yielded no change, leaving the spot a persistent eyesore. Out of sheer frustration, Prasad tried an unusual yet practical solution—he converted the dumping area into a mini-garden.
On Independence Day, he placed large cement pots filled with soil and saplings at the black spot notorious for littering.
