SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - Spartanburg County deputies are searching for a person wanted in connection to an investigation after a car chase.

Deputies said they received a tip regarding a vehicle involved in an active investigation around 10:45 p.m. Friday. The car was discovered around Wellford.

The car sped away when deputies arrived on scene to investigate, initiating a chase. The car crashed around Upper Valley Falls Road, deputies said.

One person has been detained.

Deputies are still searching around Interstate 85, Valley Falls Road for the second person involved.
