HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The UNK Lopers volleyball team has been consistently competitive under Head Coach Rick Squires, and this season is no different.

The Lopers got off to a 13-0 start, sweeping their non-conference schedule without dropping a single set.

UNK has top-tier talent returning from last year’s team, including a AVCA First Team All-American in Peyton Neff and the MIAA’s current kills leader, Carly Purdy. One key to the teams early success is the depth of the roster.

“We have a lot of experience in some areas,” Neff said. “The areas that we don’t are players that were really hungry to get on the court last year.”

The Lopers have high expectations for themselves this year, and it all starts at the top.
