Throughout the offseason, LeBron James’ situation with the Los Angeles Lakers has drawn plenty of speculation. Though James exercised his player option to stay, reports quickly surfaced suggesting the Lakers shifting their long-term focus toward Luka Doncic. This speculation grew stronger when James was absent from Doncic’s contract extension celebration.

On NBA Today, ESPN insider Shams Charania revealed that LeBron has remained distant from team operations throughout the summer.
