It took the Yucca Valley offense a while to solve the stingy Desert Hot Springs defense, but the Trojans figured out their former DVL mates and pulled away for a 28-7 victory on Friday.
The game was tied 7-7 late in the first half, but the Trojans got a 3-yard touchdown run in the final minute of the first half to take a 14-7 lead into the break. And while the Yucca Valley offense scored one touchdown in both the third and fourth quarters, the defense kept the Golden Eagles flightless after halftime.
