Two small Brunswick County towns are among the best places to retire in the United States.

Stacker, a company that publishes data-driven rankings, recently released its 2025 rankings of the "Best Places to Retire in America."

Stacker's list is based on data from Niche and includes factors like weather, recreation and health-care access.

According to Stacker's article, "warm, sunny weather was the most common denominator among the best places to retire."

So it's no surprise that these coastal Brunswick towns made the list.

Both offer golf, recreation and nearby access to the ocean. They're also both already home to many retirees.

Carolina Shores and St. James were the two Brunswick towns included on Stacker's list.
