A Missouri Lottery player won a $50,000 Powerball prize in the Sept. 6 drawing on a ticket purchased at a Phillips 66 in Jefferson City.

The win came in the same drawing that produced an $893.5 million jackpot winner in Missouri, as well as two other $50,000 winning tickets, according to a news release from the Missouri Lottery.

In fiscal year 2024, players in Cole County won more than $14.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, while retailers received more than $1.4 million in commissions and bonuses, according to the release.

The lottery contributed $7.1 million to education programs in Cole County, according to the release.
