I tried to wrap my mind around all the different playoff possibilities.

Wait a minute, where does Houston and the Wild Card figure into all this?

My baseball brain was ready to explode.

Then I thought, “It’s complicated.”

Then I thought, “Of course, it’s complicated. What hasn’t been complicated about this wild, improbable, exciting, frustrating and exhilarating season?’

Then I looked at the sentence I wrote and thought, “What’s with all the adjectives? Just tell the story.”
