LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Lansing Police are investigating a shooting on the city's southwest side.
Sgt. Dustin Belill tells 6 News officers were dispatched to the area of Grovenburg Rd. and Miller Rd. on reports of shots fired about 9:40 a.m. Saturday morning.
Officers were unable to locate anyone but about 9:50 a.m. they were notified by a local hospital that an individual with a gunshot wound had arrived with a gunshot wound.
Belill says the individual was a juvenile with a gunshot wound to the hip. The victim told police they were walking down Grovenburg Rd. when they heard a gunshot and "felt pain."
There is no information on an accused, Belill says. LPD continues to investigate.
