GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened earlier this month on East Seneca Road that left one person hospitalized, according to Greensboro police.
The Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Obie Malachi on Friday. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon and discharge of a firearm in the city.
Malachi remains in the Guilford County Jail, where he has also been served with outstanding warrants in other cases, including drug-related charges and failure to register as a sex offender. Some of those warrants date back to 2023, police said.
