FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes is celebrating 100 years of service this weekend.

The celebration was held at the funeral home’s Lakeside Park location on Saturday.

During the celebration, Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker presented Dave and Doug McComb with a proclamation, designating September 27, 2025, as D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes Day.

The public was also invited to an open house, coinciding with the nearby Northside Neighborhood Historic Home and Garden Tour.

D.O. McComb & Sons was founded in 1925, after D.O. McComb saw a need for funeral homes in the Fort Wayne community.

The McComb family has since expanded its services to five locations to serve families in both Fort Wayne and the surrounding communities.
