LANSING — Lansing police are investigating after a juvenile was shot on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Police were called to the area of Grovenburg and Miller roads in south Lansing, just north of Interstate 96, around 9:40 a.m. for a shots fired complaint, Sgt. Dustin Belill said.

There was no victim or other evidence of a shooting, but about 15 minute later a local hospital reported that a juvenile came in with a gunshot wound.

The juvenile told police they were walking down the street and heard a gunshot before feeling pain in their lower body, Belill said.

The injury is not considered life threatening, Belill said, and the investigation is ongoing.
