A targeted shooting in Chilliwack on Friday evening left one person injured. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. at a residence on Crimson Ridge. Officers from the RCMP responded to reports of gunfire outside the home.
Upon arrival, police discovered an individual with non-life-threatening injuries. They also found several shell casings and blood at the scene. According to the RCMP, multiple nearby homes were struck by bullets, but no injuries were reported among the residents of those houses.
Authorities believe the shooting is linked to ongoing gang conflicts in British Columbia. A burnt Mazda CX5 was located in the vicinity, specifically near Teskey Way and Bailey Road. Investigators are currently assessing whether this vehicle is connected to the shooting.
