AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Local churches, non-profits, civic groups and the Convoy of Hope came together at multiple schools to give away resources for people who were affected by Hurricane Helene.

Community members and students at the various schools prepared bags for the people who came to the event.

“It’s a joy to see the smiles on people’s faces and really to smile on the children as they assist and know that they’re doing well to assist others that really need it,”

People lined up in their cars as volunteers gave them bags one after the other.
