An investigation has been launched by the Gardaí into a suspected murder-suicide following the discovery of two bodies at a property in Co Dublin. ‌

The bodies of a man and a young girl were found at a house in the Heathfield estate in the Cappagh area of Finglas, north Dublin, around 8pm on Saturday evening. The scene has been preserved for the Garda Technical Bureau to conduct a forensic examination. ‌

The bodies are still at the scene awaiting preliminary technical examination, after which they will be removed for post-mort
