DODGE CO., Wis. (WMTV) - A motorcycle driver is being treated for life-threatening injuries after crashing and being thrown off their motorcycle Saturday afternoon.

Around 2:00 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single motorcycle crash

Early investigations show the motorcyclist, a 22-year-old man from rural Beaver Dam, lost control when riding at a high speed. The sheriff’s office says the man was not wearing a helmet and was passing multiple vehicles.

Officials say the motorcycle went into the shoulder and traveled through a ditch before hitting a culvert, causing the driver to be thrown off the motorcycle. They say the man hit a tree and the motorcycle continued until it came ot rest against a home.

No one else was injured in the crash.
