HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Homecoming is always a time to showcase school pride, so 12 high school bands came together to follow the Hastings College band and cheer squad as they paraded downtown Hastings.

The parade was followed up with a tailgate at the college, to get ready for the football match with Hastings hosting Morningside.

Hastings students and alumni were able to connect and enjoy the festivities.

For some alumni, it was the first time back on campus in 20 years. Many reconnected with a previous professor, Roger Doerr.

Doerr has done a variety of classes at Hastings College for the last 57 years.
