Chichester grad Eddie Swinton’s 38-yard touchdown catch from Brett Nabb in the second quarter put Eastern ahead for good in a wild 39-37 win over King’s College Saturday.
King’s got within two with 42 seconds to play when Jaelin Mims hit Penn Wood grad Kival Clarke for a 14-yard score, but the two-point conversion failed, and Eastern recovered the onside kick to improve to 3-1.
Nabb was 9-for-18 for 257 yards and two touchdowns, the other score a 75-yarder to Justin Nikolopoulos on the first play from scrimmage. Nabb rushed 18 times for 164 yards, including touchdowns of 5 and 11 yards. Jeremiah Avrilien carried 16 times for 133 yards and a score. Swinton had three catches for 77 yards.
