The family of a 77-year-old woman have identified their beloved grandmother, Dorothea Cathell, as the woman killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025.

Cathell's family says she was walking back from ShopRite with a cart full of Halloween decorations when she was struck by a Black Infiniti with a Delaware paper tag at the intersection of 54th Street and Lancaster Avenue.

"My grandma was a good person, she was loved by the community. Always happy. Always positive," said Semaj Suggs, Cathell's grandson. "I don't have no words. No words."
