A person was shot in the thigh during a suspected road rage incident on Route 76 near the Ben Franklin Bridge on Saturday night, Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace told NBC10.

According to Pace, a driver was about to get onto the Ben Franklin Bridge when a person in another car opened fire, hitting the driver in the thigh.

Several other bullet holes were seen on the driver's car, Pace said.

The driver who was hit pulled over at the base of the bridge for help, Pace said. The driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
