If the Minnesota Lynx want to keep their season alive, they're going to have to win Sunday without MVP runner-up Napheesa Collier.

Collier suffered a scary ankle injury in Minnesota's dramatic Game 3 loss at Phoenix Friday night, with the superstar forward banging knees with Mercury MVP finalist Alyssa Thomas late in the fourth quarter and rolling her left ankle.

Collier immediately pounded the court in pain as Thomas coasted to the other end of the floor for a game-sealing layup as Phoenix took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series.

After the game, as Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve berated the league and officiating and said Collier "probably" suffered a fractured ankle. However, the Lynx have not provided specifics about Collier's injury, only ruling her out for Game 4 Sunday in Phoenix
