Police say a man was killed when he crossed a busy road in Minneapolis and was struck by a car and a bus Saturday afternoon.

According to Minneapolis PD, the yet-to-be identified man was struck as he was crossing Franklin Avenue near Cedar Avenue at approximately 3:07 p.m. MPD says the man was crossing the street "mid-block" when he was hit.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Both drivers remained on scene and were cooperative with the investigation," MPD said, noting that no arrests were made, nor were any citations issued.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information about the fatal incident to email policetips@minneapolismn.gov or leave a voice message at 612-673-5845.

The victim's identity will be released at a later date by the Hennepin Count
