CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - The West Texas A&M Buffs defeated the Western Oregon Wolves by a score of 35-7 on Saturday.
The Buffs were clicking on both sides of the ball, holding the Wolves scoreless through the first three quarters and allowing their season-low of points.
Quarterback R.J. Martinez finished the game 37-46 with 313 yards through the air.
12 different Buffs were on the receiving end of a Martinez pass, Drew Zamar leading the charge with eight catches for 66 yards, 53 of those coming after the catch.
On the ground, it was Sean Johnson who picked up the most yards, 96 of them on six carries. Jayden Hibbler was right behind him, getting 14 touches to produce 83 rushing yards.
The Buffs advance to 2-3 on the season, both of those wins against Lone Star Conference opponents.
The
