A three-year lease agreement for using land at the Roswell Air Center to accommodate deliveries to a proposed museum project nearby was recommended to the city council for consideration.
During the city’s Legal Committee meeting on Thursday, members also advised councilors they should listen to information about the agreement and learn about the New Mexico Historical Air Museum project itself.
Separating the agreement from consent items that are approved with one sweeping vote would allow the councilors to decide on the agreement after hearing about the overall development of the area.
How detailed or in-depth the presentation to the councilors will be hasn’t been determined, said City Attorney Hess Yntema.
