Founding Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley has been forced to cancel his upcoming performance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California, after suffering a fall in his studio that required hospitalization, reports note .

According to a statement from his team , the incident occurred recently and while Frehley is “fine,” his doctor has insisted he avoid traveling at this time, despite the guitarist’s wishes to perform.

“Dear Rock Soldiers, Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital,” the statement read. “He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time.”
